Using this site

To find out what maps are available now for your surname, use our free surname search tools below and on the home page.

This will give you opportunity to order a PDF of the map of this surname (available by download after ordering) or an A4 or A3 full colour printed map available with or without laminating by RootsMap.

If the map for your surname has not yet been published, you can request that we add it to our database for you. Once added, we will advise you that it is ready so you are able to order it via this website. However, there is no obligation to buy at any time unless you decide you want to.

Maps produced and published by RootsMap are also available as A4 (similar to US Letter size) and can either be downloaded and printed by you immediately after payment, or we can dispatch your map to you by 1st class post - especially useful if you would like to have your map laminated or printed as A3.

Each map costs £5 to download. A4 and A3 printed maps cost £6 and £7 respectiving. Laminated maps cost £8 for A4 and £9 for A3.

Postage & packaging is free in the UK, and £2.50 elsewhere in the world. If you need a a currency converter, we recommend xe.com.
